LinkedIn, the most untapped market for B2B (test blog post)

Marketers are always looking for untapped niches, markets, and platforms. They identify them, crack the code, leverage it as much as they can before the average people jump in and it gets saturated.

There are two ways to find such opportunities. You explore many things, run small tests and see what works and what not or you follow the influencers in the industry who public some part of their strategies.

LinkedIn is one such untapped platform which not many people are using to its full potential. All the big boys of marketing are taking it very seriously. Let me tell you this.

This is a platform of fucking 500 million users. 500 million, man! Unlike Facebook or Instagram, these are primarily professionals and B2B business. Isn’t this HUGE?

Forget that, what else this platform brings to the table which Facebook doesn’t have for example. It’s virality factor. When your Facebook friends like or comment on your post, the algorithm bumps up the post only in the newsfeed of your mutual friends not outside your network.

In contrary to this when someone like or comment on your post, they share with their network. Produce some excellent content, and you would see the ball rolling. The share feature on both platforms is more or less the same.

Don’t waste your time on LinkedIn groups. They are as dead as the forum websites we all loved in 2012 and before. Remember? Anyways, Facebook groups are dominating this space IMO.

If you are a professional or a business who genuinely believe in networking, you can’t afford to have a LinkedIn profile and check out the notification a few times a week. You would need to be a bit more active.

You should identify your target audience, connect with the like-minded people, engage with them to build a relationship and grow with your network. LinkedIn has advanced search filters if you buy the premium account.

We do cry about the exposure of the global market, lack of mentorship, investment and what not. Right? Trust me the best people in the business are out there are on LinkedIn, and they are very open to connect and share experiences. They come on LinkedIn with that mindset.
